The HERTEL C.E05.0595 is an aircraft extension drill bit engineered for deep-reach drilling in tight or hard-to-access locations. Built from high-speed steel with an oxide finish, it carries a 15/64 inch (0.2344 inch decimal) diameter and an overall length of 12 inches, making it well suited for applications where a standard-length bit cannot reach. The 135-degree split point is self-centering and reduces the need for a center punch, minimizing walking on entry. Web thinning reduces thrust load and improves chip evacuation during the cut.

This bit is intended for general-purpose drilling in metal, composite, and structural materials common to aircraft maintenance, fabrication, and related industrial or mechanical trades. The extended 12-inch overall length combined with a 2-5/8 inch spiral flute section allows techs to drill through deep structural members, bulkheads, or stacked materials where clearance is limited. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for use with conventional drill presses and hand-held power drills. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without an adapter.
