The HERTEL 87033 is a 2-8 bottoming hand tap ground from high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish. It is designed for cutting internal threads in through holes and blind holes where full thread depth near the bottom is required. The bottoming chamfer — typically 1 to 2 thread leads — allows threading to within a few threads of the bottom of a blind hole. With 6 straight flutes and a right-hand thread direction, this tap suits manual tapping operations and low-speed machine tapping in a range of materials. Thread limit H6 provides a standard tolerance class for general-purpose UNS threading applications.

This tap is applied in machine shops, maintenance and repair operations, and toolroom environments where 2-8 UNS threads are required.
