The HERTEL 750917 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hard-material applications. It features a 5/32 inch (0.1563 inch) mill diameter and a 9/16 inch (0.5625 inch) length of cut, with a 4-flute, right-hand cutting geometry and a 30-degree helix angle. The micrograin carbide construction provides edge retention and rigidity in demanding cuts. This is a single-end, center-cutting tool suitable for slotting, profiling, and plunge operations. It carries a bright/uncoated finish, making it appropriate for use with cutting fluids where coating interaction is a concern.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose milling in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments. The regular-length profile and 3/16 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills. It is typically selected for finish passes and light-to-medium material removal on steel, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement end mill for use in 3/16 inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before use.
