The HERTEL 750708 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this tool delivers extended tool life and heat resistance in demanding cutting environments. It features a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. With two flutes and a centercutting geometry, it is capable of plunge cuts as well as conventional side milling. Installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators, this end mill is suited for high-speed milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is a strong fit for precision machining on CNC mills and manual knee mills where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter for straightforward toolholding setup. The 3 inch overall length provides adequate reach without sacrificing rigidity at this diameter. Right-hand cut direction is standard for conventional machine spindle rotation. The AlTiN finish makes this tool especially well suited for dry or minimal-coolant machining of hardened steels, stainless, and similar alloys.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for use in standard 1/8 inch collets, end mill holders, or matching-diameter toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured with proper torque before operation. Use a clean, correctly sized collet or toolholder to prevent runout at this small diameter. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before beginning the cut.
