The HERTEL 750687 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 9/32-inch (0.2813-inch) cutting diameter and 2 flutes, this end mill removes material efficiently in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The micrograin carbide construction delivers hardness and edge retention at elevated cutting speeds. A 30-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shop and production environments will find this tool suited to finishing and light roughing passes in confined setups.
This end mill fits extra-long-reach applications where standard-length tools cannot access deep pockets, slots, or stepped features. The 1-inch length of cut and 2-1/2-inch overall length give operators clearance in setups that demand reach beyond a standard stub or standard-length profile. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and toolroom operations. The right-hand cut direction is compatible with conventional spindle rotation on standard machine tools. No coating is applied, making it suitable for use with cutting fluids or in dry cutting scenarios where coating interaction is a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill compatible with standard 5/16-inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and conventional milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the 5/16-inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring adequate shank engagement per toolholder manufacturer guidelines. Confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut are appropriate for the workpiece material before starting the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use and replace the tool if edge integrity is compromised.
