The HERTEL 750669 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise material removal in milling operations across a wide range of metals and engineered materials. With a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) mill diameter and a 1 inch length of cut, it delivers accurate side milling, slotting, and profiling in a single-end configuration. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating increases surface hardness and extends tool life in production environments. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists, tooling technicians, and CNC operators working in job shops, maintenance facilities, and manufacturing cells.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where a 7/16 inch shank is compatible with the spindle or collet setup. The three-flute geometry balances chip clearance with tool rigidity, making it a practical choice for general-purpose milling of steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher surface footage than standard carbide grades, particularly in finish-milling passes. The single-end design is standard for replaceable tooling setups where the tool is changed out rather than reground.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 7/16 inch shank square end mill applications in standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and ER-style collet systems where a 0.4375 inch shank diameter is specified.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Before changing tooling, power down the spindle and confirm the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per applicable machine tool safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware per the holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before placing the tool in service.
