The HERTEL 750559 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 5/16 inch cutting diameter, 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and 4 inch overall length, this end mill delivers consistent material removal in tight tolerances. The 4-flute spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. A titanium nitride (TiN) finish adds surface hardness and wear resistance to the carbide substrate. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, production machining environments, and maintenance facilities.
The 750559 is suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and plunge cutting in a range of workpiece materials. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole, adding flexibility to tool paths. The right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute design is compatible with standard CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual vertical mills. The 5/16 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and end mill holders commonly found in these setups. It is well matched to finishing and semi-finishing passes where dimensional accuracy is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and milling chucks accepting a 5/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully into the tool holder to the recommended gauge line depth and torque the collet nut or set screw per the tool holder manufacturer specifications before beginning any cut. Inspect the cutting edges and TiN coating for chips or wear before each use. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material being machined.
