The HERTEL 750552 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication, tool and die, and general machining applications. With a 0.3438 inch (11/32 inch) cutting diameter and a 2-flute geometry, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and clean edge finishes in a wide range of workpiece materials. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting forces and surface finish quality. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it offers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for consistent performance in both manual and CNC milling setups. The uncoated finish makes it well suited for applications where coating buildup or heat-related distortion must be avoided.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole, making it flexible for complex tool paths. The regular length configuration with a 0.875 inch length of cut and 2.5 inch overall length fits standard tool holders used in vertical machining centers and knee mills. Machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators working on close-tolerance jobs will find this geometry straightforward to apply in production or prototype environments.
Designed as a standard square end mill replacement for applications requiring an 11/32 inch diameter, 3/8 inch shank, regular-length 2-flute solid carbide end mill in compatible tool holders and collet chucks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the end mill. Verify runout after installation using a dial indicator before beginning any cut. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and speed and feed selection.
