The HERTEL 750537 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 7/16-inch cutting diameter and a 2-inch length of cut, this long-length single-end tool handles deep slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling where standard-length tools fall short. The micrograin carbide substrate supports the TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, which increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge. This combination extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where a TiCN coating provides a performance advantage over uncoated or TiN-coated tools. The long length of cut makes it appropriate for deep pocket milling and extended-reach applications where a standard end mill cannot reach the full depth of cut. The right-hand spiral, right-hand cutting configuration is the standard orientation for conventional CNC milling setups. The 30-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action during full-depth passes.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 7/16-inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder that matches the 7/16-inch shank diameter to prevent runout and tool pullout during cutting. Verify tool projection and reach before beginning the first pass to avoid interference with the workpiece or fixturing.
