The HERTEL 750527 is a 4-flute, solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide and finished with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, this end mill delivers strong wear resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1/8 inch cutting diameter, 30-degree spiral helix, and right-hand cut with right-hand flute configuration make it well-suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring at tight tolerances. Centercutting geometry allows for direct plunge entry. The stub-length classification keeps deflection low in short-reach applications.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills for cutting aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and similar materials. At 1/8 inch diameter with a 1/4 inch length of cut and a 1-1/2 inch overall length, it fits applications requiring small-diameter, short-reach cutting such as detail work, die and mold work, and close-tolerance slot milling. The 1/8 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet systems used in precision machining setups.
Designed for use in standard 1/8 inch collet holders on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills. Suitable for slotting, profiling, and plunge operations in metalworking environments where small-diameter, short-reach carbide tooling is required.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank fully in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or retention system per the machine manufacturer specification before spindle engagement. Inspect the collet and holder for runout prior to use, as excessive runout at this diameter will accelerate tool wear and degrade part accuracy. Never exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the material being machined.
