The HERTEL 750524 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 0.125-inch cutting diameter, a 0.5-inch length of cut, and a 1.5-inch overall length with a 0.125-inch shank diameter. The three-flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute configuration promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A titanium nitride (TiN) finish adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This end mill is center-cutting and right-hand cutting, making it suitable for plunge entry and standard peripheral milling operations.
This end mill is suited for light-duty to medium-duty milling operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The 0.125-inch diameter makes it appropriate for small-feature work including slots, pockets, and contour cuts in steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The single-end configuration and compact overall length of 1.5 inches make it a practical choice for close-tolerance work where rigidity and tool reach must be balanced. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops or production environments are the typical users.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting 0.125-inch shank end mills via ER collets, end mill holders, or equivalent toolholding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked out before installing or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts to prevent premature tool wear or breakage.
