The HERTEL 750508 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 3/32-inch (0.0938 inch) cutting diameter and a 30-degree helix angle, it delivers clean, efficient chip evacuation during slot, profile, and plunge cuts. The four-flute spiral configuration and TiN (titanium nitride) coating extend tool life and reduce friction at the cutting edge. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without pre-drilling. This end mill is sized for close-tolerance work in tight spaces and is suited to use on CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and benchtop mills.
The 750508 is built for small-diameter finish and semi-finish milling operations where dimensional accuracy is critical. Its 3/16-inch length of cut (0.1875 inch) and 1/8-inch shank diameter make it a practical choice for detail work in die and mold applications, prototype machining, and precision component production. Both the cut direction and flute direction are right-hand, compatible with standard spindle rotation on the vast majority of milling machines. Machinists working in aerospace, medical device, and general precision manufacturing will find this geometry appropriate for demanding tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for milling machines accepting a 1/8-inch straight shank end mill in standard ER, collet chuck, or end mill holder systems.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with speeds, feeds, and tool holding procedures for small-diameter carbide tooling. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tools. Secure the 1/8-inch shank firmly in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder to minimize runout, which is critical at this diameter. Carbide is brittle — avoid lateral impacts during setup and do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for this length-of-cut range.
