The HERTEL 750468 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, composite, and engineering-grade plastic materials. With a 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch) cutting diameter and a 2-flute spiral geometry set at a 30-degree helix angle, this end mill delivers clean, efficient chip evacuation in a compact form factor. The right-hand cut, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional profiling, slotting, and contouring operations. It is uncoated solid carbide, suited for use with appropriate cutting fluids in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. Machinists and toolroom operators install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is sized for small-feature work requiring tight tolerances. The 9/16 inch length of cut (0.5625 inch) provides adequate depth for most slot and pocket operations at this diameter range. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and end mill holders common in CNC and manual setups. The 2 inch overall length keeps tool deflection low, which is critical when working at sub-3/16 inch diameters. No chipbreaker geometry is present, keeping the cutting edge geometry consistent along the full flute length. This tool is sold individually.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills using ER collets or end mill holders accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully powered down and locked out before tool changes. Ensure the collet or end mill holder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank to the recommended engagement depth. Verify runout after installation using a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as runout is especially critical at sub-3/16 inch diameters. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
