The HERTEL 750420 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a cutting diameter of 0.0313 inches (1/32 inch) and a 5/64-inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work in hard and abrasive materials. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and high-temperature alloys. A 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Machinists and tool-room operators working with CNC mills or manual machines in production or prototype environments rely on this type of end mill for micro-milling tasks.
This end mill is suited for small-feature milling operations in aerospace, medical device, mold and die, and precision parts manufacturing. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The regular-length geometry and 1-1/2-inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth slots, pockets, and profile cuts where rigidity and minimal deflection are critical. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation follow standard conventions for conventional and climb milling setups.
Designed for use in standard 1/8-inch collets or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Suitable for milling ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys where AlTiN coating performance is required.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the collet or holder. Verify runout with a dial indicator before committing to a production cut, as runout errors are amplified significantly at this diameter. Follow the machine and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material and depth of cut.
