The HERTEL 750301 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineered plastics. With a 0.25 inch cutting diameter, a 0.75 inch length of cut, and a 2-flute spiral configuration at a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling applications. The TiN (titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. The 0.25 inch shank diameter and 2.5 inch overall length suit standard collet chucks and tool holders across a wide range of machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose machining in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments. It handles light-to-moderate material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as plastics. The right-hand cut and spiral flute design are standard for conventional and climb milling passes. Machinists, CNC operators, and toolroom technicians working on mold components, fixtures, brackets, and detail work will find this a practical general-purpose tool for everyday cutting tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard 0.25 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and ER-style tool holders on vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an energy-isolated state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention nut per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces surface finish quality.
