The HERTEL 750287 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hard material applications. Built from micrograin carbide stock and finished with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, this tool delivers hardness and wear resistance in demanding cutting environments. The 4-flute, 30-degree helix spiral design balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. At 0.1875 inches in diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut, it is suited for fine detail work, slot milling, and profiling passes where tool rigidity is critical. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists are the primary users of this cutter.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and toolroom mills accepting a 3/16-inch shank. Its center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry, making it effective for pocket milling without a pre-drilled entry hole. The long-length classification gives added reach for deeper cavity work while the right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration suits conventional setups on most vertical milling equipment. It is a single-end tool intended for one-time sharpening cycles or replacement intervals common in high-production environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers with a 3/16-inch collet or tool holder accepting a straight shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention system according to the machine manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, and verify feed and speed parameters match the workpiece material and coating recommendations for TiCN-coated carbide tooling.
