The HERTEL 750255 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication, moldmaking, and general machining environments. With a 0.5-inch cutting diameter and a 2-inch length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a single setup. The four-flute configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This end mill is designed for installation in machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills by machinists and tooling technicians.
This end mill suits production and job-shop environments where consistent geometry and repeatable performance are required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, reducing the need for a pre-drilled pilot hole. Right-hand cut with right-hand spiral flutes makes it compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional milling equipment. The 0.5-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets, end mill holders, and Weldon-style tool holders commonly found in CNC and manual machine tool setups.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for use in standard 0.5-inch ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an energy-isolated state before changing tooling. Confirm the shank is fully seated in the tool holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and that the collet or set screw is torqued per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before use, and verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
