The HERTEL 750229 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride), it delivers extended tool life and resistance to wear and heat buildup. The 0.75-inch diameter cutter features four flutes with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix, providing efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. At 3 inches length of cut and 6 inches overall length, this extra-long profile reaches deep pockets and slots that standard-length end mills cannot access. Machinist and CNC operators rely on this geometry for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is suited for horizontal and vertical milling centers, CNC machining centers, and manual mills where extended reach is required. The centercutting design allows direct plunging into the workpiece, adding flexibility for full-slot operations and ramp-entry cuts. A 0.75-inch shank diameter matches standard ER, CAT, and BT toolholders common in production and job-shop environments. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute orientation are compatible with standard spindle rotation on most vertical machining centers.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 0.75-inch straight shank end mill. Confirm toolholder bore and collet size before installation.
End mills of this type are installed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the recommended gauge-line depth in the collet or toolholder to minimize runout and prevent pullout under cutting loads. Inspect the collet and toolholder bore for wear, chips, or contamination before clamping.
