The HERTEL 750117 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter and a 1-1/8 inch length of cut, this tool removes material cleanly across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The 2-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces. Micrograin carbide construction delivers edge retention and wear resistance in demanding cutting conditions. The centercutting design allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece as well as perform peripheral cuts. At 3 inches overall length with a 3/8 inch shank, it fits standard collet and end mill holders used in vertical mills, machining centers, and CNC routers.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in job shop and production environments. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute direction are standard for conventional milling machine setups. The bright uncoated finish makes it appropriate for applications where coating is not required or where regrinding after use is planned. Machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators working with aluminum, mild steel, brass, and similar materials will find this a reliable general-purpose cutting tool.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or production end mill for standard 3/8 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders used in vertical knee mills, CNC machining centers, and similar equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and powered down before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify that the shank is fully seated to the recommended gauge depth in the collet or holder and that all set screws or collet nuts are torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Do not use this tool beyond its rated cutting diameter or length-of-cut range.
