The HERTEL 750114 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and other hard materials. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter and a 2-flute, right-hand spiral geometry at a 30-degree helix angle, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and clean edge finishes in light to moderate cuts. The micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and wear resistance suited to high-speed CNC and manual milling applications. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited to slot milling, profiling, and plunging in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight tolerances and fine surface finish are required. The 3/4 inch length of cut and 2-1/4 inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth passes in small-bore and fine-feature work. The bright uncoated finish makes it a general-purpose option for applications where coating is not required or where re-sharpening is planned. It fits standard 1/8 inch collets and toolholders common to CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Designed for use in standard 1/8 inch collet toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a square-profile solid carbide end mill.
Installation is performed by machinists using a compatible 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder; ensure the collet and taper are clean and free of chips before seating the tool. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run, as micrograin carbide is sensitive to deflection and chatter at small diameters. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Follow machine manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for the workpiece material.
