The HERTEL 750029 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineering-grade plastics. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 3/4 inch shank diameter, with a 3 inch overall length. The 2-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces during slotting and peripheral milling. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers rigidity and edge retention in short-run and general-purpose machining applications. This end mill is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling work in job shops, production machining cells, and maintenance environments. The right-hand spiral flute design is compatible with standard right-hand spindle rotation. The 2-flute configuration provides ample chip clearance, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and light pocket milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 3/4 inch shank fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style tool holders commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for 3/4 inch ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style tool holders used in CNC and manual vertical milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholder torque and runout specifications. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clean in the holder to minimize runout. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings against the material being cut before engaging the workpiece.
