The HERTEL 72019508 is a straight-flute chucking reamer designed to finish-ream drilled or bored holes to a precise 0.1950-inch diameter. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, it delivers consistent sizing in ferrous and non-ferrous materials under normal shop conditions. The reamer features 6 flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, providing smooth material removal and accurate hole finish. With a 5-inch overall length and a 1.25-inch flute length, it is well-suited for shallow-to-moderate depth reaming applications. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly in drill chucks, collet chucks, or floating holders. Machinists and toolroom professionals use this reamer in manual and CNC drilling operations where hole tolerance and surface finish are critical.
This chucking reamer is appropriate for production and maintenance machining in job shops, manufacturing facilities, and toolroom environments. It handles reaming operations in materials such as mild steel, aluminum, brass, and cast iron where a finished hole in the 0.1500 to 0.1999-inch diameter range is required. The 5-inch OAL provides adequate clearance for most standard machine setups without excessive overhang. It is sold individually and is intended for use in vertical mills, drill presses, lathes, and CNC machining centers equipped with a compatible chuck or holder.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use chucking reamer for machine tool setups requiring a straight-shank HSS reamer in the 0.1950-inch diameter size. Fits standard drill chucks, ER collet systems, and floating reamer holders with an appropriate bore size.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with reaming procedures and machine tool safety. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is securely clamped in the holder before beginning any setup. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve hole finish. Do not use the reamer to remove excessive stock — pre-drill or bore the hole to within the recommended allowance before reaming.
