The HERTEL 45676350 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed to finish-ream precision holes to a nominal diameter of 0.353 inches. Built from solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for tight-tolerance bore finishing in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The straight-flute geometry provides a smooth cutting action suited to through-holes and shorter blind holes. With a 3.5-inch overall length and a 1.25-inch flute length, this reamer is sized for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and manual lathes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this type of reamer for finish passes where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are the priority.
This chucking reamer is appropriate for general-purpose precision reaming applications in machine shops, maintenance and repair operations, and production environments. The straight cylindrical shank seats cleanly in standard drill chucks and collet holders. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with conventional machine spindle rotation. The bright, uncoated carbide surface suits a wide range of materials and allows inspection of the cutting edge without coating interference. Solid carbide construction makes it well suited to harder materials and higher-speed applications where high-speed steel tooling would wear prematurely.
Designed as an OEM-style chucking reamer for use in standard drill chucks and straight-bore collet holders on drill presses, lathes, and CNC machining centers requiring a 0.353-inch finish-reamed hole.
A licensed machinist or qualified toolroom technician should install and operate this reamer. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before securing or removing the reamer from the chuck or collet. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to maintain tool life and achieve the target surface finish. Do not exceed the reamer diameter with the pilot hole clearance; pre-drill or bore the hole to the recommended undersize before reaming.
