The HERTEL 45676343 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking applications. With a 0.352 inch diameter and a bright polished finish, it delivers consistent sizing and smooth surface finishes in through and blind holes. The straight flute, right-hand cutting geometry with 6 flutes provides efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. The straight shank allows direct mounting in standard drill chucks, collet holders, and floating holders. This reamer is used by machinists and toolroom professionals requiring tight diameter tolerances on production or job-shop work.
This chucking reamer is suited for finishing reamed holes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and drill presses. Its 1.25 inch flute length accommodates typical hole depths found in fixture plates, die components, and general precision machining work. The solid carbide construction offers greater rigidity and wear resistance compared to high-speed steel, making it a practical choice for harder workpiece materials and higher-cycle production runs.
Designed as an OEM-style chucking reamer for use in standard straight-shank toolholders, drill chucks, and collet holders on CNC and manual machine tools requiring a 0.352 inch finished hole diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with reaming operations. Ensure the machine spindle and workpiece are properly fixtured and that the reamer is concentric with the pre-drilled pilot hole before beginning the cut. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to reduce heat buildup and extend tool life. Never attempt to use a reamer to remove excessive stock — pre-drill or bore the hole to within 0.005 to 0.015 inches of finish size using methods standard to your shop practice.
