The HERTEL 45675865 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in machining applications. With a 0.293-inch diameter and a bright polished finish, this reamer delivers accurate, smooth bores in a wide range of materials. The straight shank allows direct mounting in drill chucks or collet holders. Six right-hand straight flutes provide efficient chip evacuation and consistent surface finish quality. At 3.25 inches overall length with a 1.125-inch flute length, this tool is suited for shallow-to-moderate depth reaming on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and drill presses.
This chucking reamer is intended for production and job-shop machining environments where tight bore tolerances are required. It is appropriate for use in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as plastics and composites where carbide tooling is preferred for wear resistance and dimensional stability. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
Designed as a straight-shank chucking reamer for use in standard drill chucks and collet-style toolholders on machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses accepting straight-shank tooling in the 0.25 to 0.2999-inch diameter range.
This reamer is installed and operated by machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is securely clamped in the chuck or collet before beginning any operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to maximize tool life and surface finish quality. Verify bore pre-drill diameter allows for proper reaming stock removal before engaging the reamer.
