The HERTEL 45675279 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in machine shop and production environments. With a 0.2120-inch reamer diameter and a bright, uncoated finish, this tool delivers accurate sizing in a range of materials where tight tolerances are required. The straight flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction make it well suited for through-holes and materials that produce short, manageable chips. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users of this reamer.
This chucking reamer is used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and lathe applications where a finished bore diameter of 0.2120 inches is required. The straight-cylindrical shank allows it to be held in standard drill chucks or collet holders. At 3 inches overall length with a 1-inch flute length, it fits compact tooling setups common in production and job-shop environments. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both prototype and volume production runs.
Designed as an OEM-style chucking reamer for use in standard machine tool spindles accepting a straight-cylindrical shank; verify spindle speed, feed rate, and coolant requirements against your machine and material specifications before use.
Chucking reamers are installed and operated by machinists and toolroom technicians familiar with machine tool setup. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is securely clamped in the chuck or collet before starting. Do not use this reamer as a drill — the pre-drilled or bored hole should be sized to the appropriate undersize before reaming. Follow the toolmaker or machine manufacturer guidelines for recommended speeds, feeds, and cutting fluids appropriate to the workpiece material.
