The HERTEL 45674736 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.1225-inch reamer diameter, 4 straight flutes, and a right-hand cutting direction, it delivers accurate, repeatable sizing and smooth surface finishes in through and blind holes. The straight shank seats directly in standard drill chucks or collet holders, and the bright polished finish reduces friction during the cut. Solid carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed for tight-tolerance work in harder workpiece materials. This tool is sold and used individually by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators.
This chucking reamer is suited for finish reaming operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in machine shop, production, and maintenance environments. Its compact overall length of 2.25 inches and 0.625-inch flute length make it appropriate for shallow holes and close-quarter setups on mills, drill presses, and CNC machining centers. The right-hand cut with straight flutes provides consistent chip evacuation and minimizes chatter in controlled-feed operations. It falls within the 0.1000 to 0.1499 inch reamer diameter range for this tool family.
Designed as an OEM-style precision chucking reamer for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders on mills, drill presses, and CNC machining centers requiring a 0.1225-inch finish bore diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with reaming feeds, speeds, and cutting fluid requirements for the workpiece material. Secure the straight shank firmly in a concentric chuck or collet to minimize runout before reaming. Always bring the spindle to a full stop and isolate machine power before changing or inspecting tooling. Reamers should follow a drilled or bored pilot hole sized appropriately undersized to achieve the target finish diameter.
