The HERTEL 4140158 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size No. 22, ground to a 0.1570 inch decimal diameter. It features a 135-degree split point for accurate self-starting and reduced walking on hard or abrasive materials. The TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating extends tool life by increasing surface hardness and heat resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. Designed for heavy-duty holemaking, this bit carries a regular spiral flute and web-thinned, tapered web configuration that improves chip evacuation and reduces thrust. It is sold individually and suited for use in machine shop, maintenance, or trade service environments where cobalt tooling is specified for harder base materials.
