The HERTEL 336-201070 is a solid carbide countersink designed for producing clean, accurate countersunk holes in metal, composites, and similar materials. It features a 90-degree included angle, a 1/8 inch head diameter, and a straight-cylindrical 1/8 inch shank. The 6-flute geometry distributes cutting load evenly, reducing chatter and improving surface finish in precision drilling and finishing operations. This tool is suited for machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and production shop personnel working with CNC machining centers, drill presses, or hand-held power tools requiring small-diameter countersinking.
This countersink is well matched to light-duty countersinking tasks where a small head diameter is required, such as creating seats for flat-head fasteners in sheet metal, thin-gauge aluminum, and composite panel work. The 90-degree included angle conforms to the most common flat-head machine screw standard, making it a practical general-purpose choice for production and repair environments alike. Its compact 1/8 inch shank fits standard collets and chucks used in small-bore spindle setups.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard countersink for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and rotary tools accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or shop technicians. Secure the shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck rated for the spindle speed being used. Ensure the workpiece is clamped before operation to prevent movement during countersinking. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to side-loading or impact; handle with care during setup and storage.
