The HERTEL 334-206090 is a solid carbide countersink designed for precision chamfering and deburring of drilled holes in metal, composite, and other hard materials. With a 110-degree included angle and a 1/2-inch head diameter, this tool produces consistent countersunk seats for flat-head fasteners in applications where dimensional accuracy matters. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/2 inch in diameter, allowing it to seat securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. Four flutes provide balanced cutting action and help clear chips efficiently during the operation. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance trades rely on carbide construction for longer tool life compared to high-speed steel in demanding production environments.
This countersink is suited for use in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance operations where precise fastener seating is required. The 110-degree included angle accommodates a range of flat-head fastener standards used in metalworking and industrial assembly. The 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard drill press chucks, milling machine collets, and CNC tool holders. It is appropriate for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened materials, and composite substrates where carbide tooling is specified.
Designed as a direct-fit countersink for use in standard 1/2-inch drill chucks, collet systems, and CNC tool holders requiring a straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tool operators familiar with rotary cutting tools. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance. Always bring the spindle to operating speed before engaging the workpiece, and use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant as recommended for the workpiece material. Wear proper eye protection and follow all applicable shop safety procedures when operating rotary cutting tools.
