The HERTEL 334-206080 is a solid carbide countersink designed for producing conical seat profiles in metal and other hard materials. With a 1/2 inch head diameter and a 100-degree included angle, this tool is suited for deburring, chamfering, and countersinking fastener seats in precision machining and fabrication applications. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/2 inch in diameter, providing secure chuck engagement in standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power tools. Four flutes deliver a balance of cutting efficiency and surface finish quality. The double-end configuration extends tool life by offering two usable cutting ends. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and metalworking fabricators are the primary users of this tool.
This countersink is applicable in general metalworking, aerospace component prep, structural fabrication, and maintenance machining where consistent countersink geometry is required. The 100-degree included angle accommodates a range of fastener head profiles that fall outside the more common 82-degree and 90-degree standards, making it a specialty tool for specific fastener seat requirements. It is appropriate for use in job shops, production environments, and field maintenance settings where a rigid, high-hardness cutting tool is needed for accurate countersink profiles in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use countersink compatible with standard 1/2 inch straight shank toolholders and drill chucks on drill presses, mills, and CNC machining centers.
Installation of this countersink is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the straight shank fully in the chuck or collet before use and verify runout before cutting. Power down the machine completely before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended speed and feed parameters for the work material and tool diameter as established by the manufacturer or standard machining data references.
