The HERTEL 30211000 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and similar fine-tolerance applications. It carries a No. 35 wire gauge size, equivalent to 0.1100 inches (2.79 mm) in diameter, and features a 130-degree drill point angle with a fast spiral flute configuration. The right-hand cutting geometry and tapered web construction promote efficient chip evacuation in shallow, high-precision bores. The 1/8-inch shank diameter accepts standard collet chucks commonly found on PCB drilling machines and CNC drilling centers. Solid carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance necessary to hold tight diameter tolerances in hard or abrasive materials.
This bit is suited for drilling in a wide range of metallic and engineered materials including alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, titanium, and high-temperature alloys. It is also at home in printed circuit board and electronic manufacturing environments where small-diameter, close-tolerance holes are required at high spindle speeds. The bright polished finish reduces friction and heat buildup during the cut, making it a practical choice for production shops, machine shops, and electronics manufacturing facilities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production-use drill bit for CNC drilling machines, PCB drilling equipment, and collet-chuck drilling setups accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
This bit is installed by machinists and electronics manufacturing technicians using collet-style toolholders. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the collet is clean before seating the shank. Secure the collet to the torque specified by the machine manufacturer. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use, as carbide tips are brittle and can chip if dropped or improperly stored.
