The HERTEL 30209950 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board manufacturing and tight-tolerance metalworking applications. Built to wire gauge size 39, it measures 0.0995 inches (2.53 mm) in diameter with a 130-degree split point and a fast spiral flute geometry. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating buildup would compromise hole tolerances. The tapered web configuration and 35-degree helix angle promote chip evacuation and reduce thrust force in difficult materials. Licensed HVAC, electrical, and mechanical trades as well as precision machining shops rely on this bit when hole location accuracy and clean entry are required.
This drill bit is suited for drilling alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloy, stainless steel, and titanium. Its 1/8-inch straight shank fits standard drill chucks and collets found on CNC drilling machines, benchtop drill presses, and handheld power tools. The 3/8-inch flute length and 1.5-inch overall length are sized for shallow, high-precision through-holes typical in circuit board and light-gauge metal fabrication work.
Designed for use in standard 1/8-inch drill chucks and collets on CNC drilling equipment, drill presses, and compatible handheld power tools. Suitable for drilling alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloy, stainless steel, and titanium.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the 1/8-inch shank firmly in the chuck or collet before operation to prevent runout, which can fracture carbide at this diameter. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and bit diameter before starting. Carbide is brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid side loads and never use this bit for anything other than straight drilling.
