The HERTEL 30203300 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and other tight-tolerance applications. It carries a No. 66 wire gauge size, which equals 0.0330 inches (0.84 mm) in diameter. The 130-degree drill point angle and fast spiral flute geometry work together to clear chips quickly and reduce heat buildup in hard, thin substrates. The tapered web configuration adds rigidity at a very small diameter, helping maintain straightness and reduce bit deflection during high-speed drilling. This bit is intended for use by machinists, electronics fabricators, and precision drilling technicians.
This drill bit is suited for drilling small-diameter holes in printed circuit boards as well as a range of metallic materials. The fast spiral and 35-degree helix angle make it effective in alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloy, stainless steel, and titanium. The bright polished finish reduces friction and helps with chip evacuation in these demanding materials. Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or electronics fabrication technicians familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the 1/8 inch shank firmly in the appropriate collet or chuck before operation, and verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits to avoid premature bit breakage. Solid carbide bits are brittle and should not be subjected to lateral loading or used in loose or worn chucks. Always power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling.
