The HERTEL 30020100 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 7, with a decimal diameter of 0.2010 inches (5.11 mm). It features a 118-degree drill point angle and a fast spiral with a 35-degree helix angle, designed for clean, accurate hole entry at high RPM. The tapered web configuration reinforces the cutting tip for rigidity in precision drilling applications. This bit is intended for use by machining professionals, electronics manufacturers, and tool-and-die shops requiring tight-tolerance hole placement in printed circuit boards and similar substrates.
This drill bit is suited for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in addition to its primary circuit board application. The bright polished finish reduces friction and aids chip evacuation during high-speed drilling. With a flute length of 0.75 inches (19.05 mm) and an overall length of 1.5 inches (38.10 mm), it fits standard CNC drilling spindles and manual drill press chucks that accept a 0.2010-inch shank diameter. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation.
Designed as a standard replacement or stock drill bit for CNC circuit board drilling machines and manual drill presses accepting a 0.2010-inch straight shank in No. 7 wire gauge applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify runout is within machine tolerance before drilling. Power down the spindle completely before changing or inspecting the bit. Do not exceed the recommended RPM range for carbide tooling at this diameter, and avoid side loading, which can cause carbide fracture.
