The HERTEL 30002250 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and electronics assembly applications. Built to wire size 74, it measures 0.0225 inches (0.57 mm) in diameter with a matching 0.57 mm shank diameter. The 118-degree drill point and fast spiral flute geometry promote clean entry and efficient chip evacuation at high spindle speeds. The tapered web configuration adds rigidity at the cutting edge, reducing deflection on small-diameter work. This bit carries a heavy-duty grade designation and a bright polished finish. It is intended for use by machinists, electronics manufacturers, and precision drilling operations.
This drill bit is suited for drilling through cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel, making it applicable beyond PCB work to any precision small-diameter drilling task in light manufacturing or toolroom environments. The 3/8-inch flute length and 1-1/2-inch overall length are sized for use in CNC drilling machines, drill presses, and precision hand-held fixtures where a standard shank diameter of 0.57 mm is required. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard clockwise spindle rotation. The 35-degree helix angle supports fast chip removal in through-hole drilling operations.
Designed for use in materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Compatible with CNC drilling spindles and precision drill presses accepting a 0.57 mm shank diameter.
Install and service this bit only while the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Use an appropriate collet or chuck rated for the 0.57 mm shank diameter to ensure secure clamping and prevent runout. Handle solid carbide tooling carefully to avoid chipping the flute edges. Verify spindle RPM is appropriate for the workpiece material and bit diameter before engaging the cut.
