The HERTEL 30002000 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and electronics manufacturing. Built to wire gauge size No. 76, it measures 0.51 mm (0.0200 inches) in diameter with a matching 0.51 mm shank. The 118-degree drill point and fast spiral flute geometry promote clean entry and efficient chip evacuation in tight, controlled drilling operations. The bright polished finish reduces friction at the cutting edge. At 0.08 pounds, this is a single-piece precision cutting tool intended for use in CNC drilling equipment or high-speed hand spindles by skilled machinists and electronics fabrication technicians.
This drill bit is suited for drilling through cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel, as well as the fiberglass-reinforced substrate materials common in circuit board production environments. The heavy-duty grade carbide construction supports high-cycle production runs where bit deflection and breakage must be minimized. The fast spiral and tapered web configuration make it particularly effective in applications requiring clean through-holes in thin, layered, or laminated materials. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both production floor and repair bench use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production-use drill bit for CNC circuit board drilling machines and high-speed spindle equipment accepting a 0.51 mm straight shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or electronics fabrication technicians familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Ensure the spindle collet or chuck is clean and properly sized for a 0.51 mm shank before seating the bit. Carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to breakage from lateral force or improper seating. Follow equipment manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate when working with solid carbide bits of this diameter.
