The HERTEL 300-002002 is a solid carbide combination drill and countersink designed for precision hole preparation in metal, composites, and other hard materials. Built to trade size 0 with a 1/8-inch body diameter, this tool combines center drilling and countersinking into a single operation, reducing setup time and tool changes at the spindle. The 82-degree included angle matches standard countersink geometry for fastener seating. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends. At 1-1/2 inches overall length, it suits close-tolerance work in CNC machining centers, manual lathes, and drill presses.
This combination drill countersink is suited for machine shops, maintenance and repair operations, and production environments where accurate center drilling and countersinking are required in a single pass. The 1/32-inch drill point diameter and 1/32-inch point length provide precise starting geometry for follow-on drilling operations. Right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional and CNC machine tools. Typical users include machinists, toolmakers, and industrial maintenance technicians.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for size 0 combination drill countersinks used in standard 1/8-inch collet or drill chuck setups on CNC machining centers, manual lathes, and drill presses.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the tool in a properly sized collet or drill chuck rated for the 1/8-inch body diameter before use. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or inspecting the tool. Do not exceed the speed and feed parameters recommended for solid carbide tooling in the material being machined, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to breakage under lateral load or impact.
