The HERTEL 300-001002 is a combination drill and countersink designed for precision hole preparation and chamfering in a single operation. Built from solid carbide with a bright uncoated finish, this tool offers the rigidity and wear resistance required for consistent performance in metal, composite, and similar materials. It carries a trade size of 0 and features a 1/8 inch body diameter with a 1/32 inch drill point diameter and a 60-degree included angle. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends. This tool is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and maintenance mechanics working with CNC equipment, drill presses, or manual machines.
This combo drill countersink is suited for countersinking applications in light production and maintenance environments. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for use in conventional rotating spindles. The plain cutting edge style and non-tapered, non-aircraft-style geometry make it appropriate for general-purpose countersinking tasks across a range of workpiece materials. Its compact overall length of 1-1/4 inches supports use in close-tolerance setups and tight workholding configurations.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or working combo drill countersink for standard drill press, CNC, and manual machine spindles accepting a shank consistent with a 1/8 inch body diameter tool.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance professionals familiar with rotating cutting tools. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are properly secured before tool engagement. Set spindle speed appropriate for the tool diameter and workpiece material per standard machining references. Inspect both cutting ends for chipping or wear before use; solid carbide tools are brittle and should not be subjected to side loads or impacts.
