The HERTEL 2500500 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with titanium nitride (TiN), it delivers extended tool life and heat resistance in demanding cutting environments. The 5/16 inch diameter cutter features four right-hand flutes with a chipbreaker geometry that breaks chips into shorter segments, reducing heat buildup and improving chip evacuation at higher feed rates. With a 1/2 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length, this is a regular-length tool suited for standard-depth roughing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.

This end mill is used in job shop, production machining, and maintenance environments where rapid stock removal is required before a finishing pass. The chipbreaker profile makes it particularly effective in harder materials where continuous chip formation creates heat and tool wear.
