Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with an oxide finish, it delivers a 3/8 inch finished bore diameter using a 5-flute, left-hand spiral, right-hand cut geometry. The left-hand spiral helps push chips forward and out of the hole rather than packing them in, which is critical when working through stacked or aligned plate. The hex shank seats securely in standard drill chucks and impact-style drivers. At 4-5/8 inches overall length with a 2-3/4 inch flute length, it handles typical structural plate and connection work without excessive overhang.
