The HERTEL 16692113 is a carbide straight-flute drill bit designed for precision drilling in hard and difficult-to-machine materials. It measures 0.1181 inches in diameter with a 140-degree notched point and a web-thinned tip geometry that reduces entry force and improves centering accuracy. The two-flute, right-hand cutting configuration and Material Grade C2 carbide construction make this bit well-suited for controlled, low-feed drilling operations where tool life and dimensional accuracy are critical. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and precision fabricators are the primary users of this style of bit.
This drill bit is engineered for use on chrome alloy, heat-treated alloy, nickel alloy, stainless steel, carbon steel, and titanium alloy workpieces. With a flute length of 0.875 inches and an overall length of 1.875 inches, it fits short-reach drilling applications such as CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision hand drilling setups where rigidity and runout control matter. It does not support coolant-through delivery, so external coolant or cutting fluid should be applied as appropriate for the workpiece material.
Designed as a straight-flute carbide drill bit compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.1181-inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece materials include chrome alloy, heat-treated alloy, nickel alloy, stainless steel, steel, and titanium alloy.
This bit should be installed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician using a properly sized collet or drill chuck to minimize runout. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are fully secured before operation, and verify that spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for carbide tooling in the target material. Do not use this bit in hand-held portable drills where rigidity cannot be maintained. Apply external cutting fluid generously when drilling stainless steel, nickel alloy, or titanium to manage heat and extend tool life.
