The HERTEL 12467360 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, composite, and engineered materials. With a 0.125 inch cutting diameter and a 0.500 inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers sharp, accurate edge geometry suited to slotting, profiling, and plunge cuts. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance required for demanding cutting applications. This tool is intended for installation in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and compatible toolholders used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is well suited for light to medium material removal in precision machining environments. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without pre-drilling, making it practical for pocketing and ramp-entry operations. The bright uncoated finish works across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials where coating adhesion or heat buildup is not a primary concern. With a 0.125 inch shank diameter and 1.500 inch overall length, it fits standard collets and ER-style toolholders common in production and job-shop settings.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill fitting standard 1/8 inch collets and ER-style toolholders used in CNC and manual milling machines. Part of the HSQSC2-CC series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or cracks before use, and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run.
