The Henkel Corporation 209741 is a high-strength, permanent anaerobic threadlocker compound sold under the Loctite Red 271 formulation. It is designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners in mechanical assemblies. The compound cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, creating a durable bond that resists loosening from shock and vibration and protects threads from rust and corrosion. This product is supplied in a 6 ml bottle and is applied by HVAC technicians, plumbers, millwrights, and general mechanical tradespeople wherever a permanent, non-reversible thread lock is required.
This threadlocker is suited for residential and commercial mechanical applications where fasteners must remain permanently secured under high-vibration or high-stress conditions. Typical install scenarios include pump assemblies, compressor hardware, pipe flanges, and structural mechanical fasteners. Because the cure is permanent, it is appropriate only where disassembly is not expected during routine service. Once fully cured, removal requires heating the assembly to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (260 degrees Celsius) to break the bond before attempting disassembly.
Designed as a permanent anaerobic threadlocker for use on close-fitting metal threaded fasteners in mechanical assemblies across HVAC, plumbing, and general industrial applications.
Apply this product only to clean, dry, grease-free threads before assembly. Power down or depressurize any system before working on fasteners in service. Allow adequate cure time before returning the assembly to service — do not apply heat or mechanical load during the cure period. Removal of cured fasteners requires localized heating to 500 degrees Fahrenheit; use appropriate heat-resistant PPE and follow all applicable safety protocols for the surrounding materials and system type.
