The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 84874 is a solid carbide tapered ball end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a consistent taper profile. Built with a 3.00-degree taper angle per side and a 6-degree included angle, this tool delivers accurate tapered wall geometry in a single pass. The 0.1250-inch mill diameter at the small end transitions from a 0.1875-inch shank, with a 0.3750-inch length of cut and a 2.0000-inch overall length. The 4-flute, variable-pitch spiral design reduces chatter and promotes chip evacuation. Applied APLUS coating extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC milling applications.
This tapered ball end mill is suited for 3D contouring, die and mold work, draft angle milling, and deep-cavity finishing where a tapered tool path is required. The 3.00-degree taper per side makes it appropriate for creating draft angles in injection molds, forging dies, and precision aerospace or medical components. Right-hand flute direction is standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation. The tool ships as a single unit and is intended for use in CNC machining centers with appropriate collet or end mill holders sized for a 3/16-inch shank.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines accepting a 0.1875-inch (3/16-inch) shank diameter via collet chuck or end mill holder. Right-hand cut; requires standard right-hand (clockwise) spindle rotation.
This tool is installed by machinists in CNC milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for a 3/16-inch shank to achieve full grip and minimize runout. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine OEM guidelines for feeds, speeds, and depth-of-cut limits for carbide end mills in your workpiece material.
