The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 83093 is a 5-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for aggressive material removal in stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steels. It measures 3/16 inches in diameter with a 0.010-inch corner radius and a 7/16-inch length of cut. The chipbreaker geometry on the flutes reduces cutting forces and helps manage chip evacuation during roughing passes. A variable pitch design minimizes chatter and vibration at elevated feed rates. Tplus PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection suited to the demanding materials this tool targets. Overall length is 2 inches with a 3/16-inch straight cylindrical shank. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in high-precision toolholders for roughing applications.
This end mill is purpose-built for use in stainless steel, high-temperature alloys such as Inconel and titanium-class materials, and hardened steels. It is also rated for secondary use in steel and cast iron. The single-end, centercutting configuration supports both plunge entry and peripheral cuts, making it suitable for pocketing, profiling, and slotting operations in CNC machining centers where material toughness demands a dedicated roughing geometry. The chipbreaker flute profile is part of Helical Solutions HEV-C-5 series, designed specifically around difficult-to-machine workpiece families.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steels. Secondary workpiece materials include steel and cast iron. Part of the Helical Solutions HEV-C-5 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank in a high-precision toolholder to maintain TIR within the specified maximum. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the cut. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for runout verification and proper collet or hydraulic chuck torque procedures.
