The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 82307 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.50 mm (0.0200 inch) corner radius, and four flutes with a variable pitch, right-hand spiral configuration. The tool is finished with a Tplus PVD coating, which extends tool life when cutting abrasive and heat-resistant materials. With a 1/2 inch length of cut and a 2 inch overall length, it is classified as a stub-length end mill - well-suited for rigidity in tight-reach operations. It is centercutting and single-end, making it capable of plunge entry. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and tooling specialists in CNC milling environments.
The 82307 is engineered primarily for stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, superalloys, titanium, and hardened steel (ISO material codes M, S, and H). It also performs in steel and cast iron (ISO codes P and K) as secondary workpiece materials. The variable pitch geometry helps suppress chatter during both roughing and finishing passes, making it appropriate for full-slot, peripheral, and contour milling operations. It is part of the HSV-4 series, which is designed for use with high-precision toolholders to maintain runout below the 0.0005 inch TIR maximum rating. Typical applications include aerospace component machining, die and mold work, and precision part production where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders in CNC machining centers. Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS HSV-4 series. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, superalloys, and titanium; secondary workpiece materials include steel and cast iron.
This end mill is installed and run by machinists or CNC tooling specialists. Secure the 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank in a high-precision collet or shrink-fit toolholder to maintain TIR within specification. Verify runout at the toolholder before operation. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material - do not exceed the tool's rated cutting geometry limits. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or coating wear before each setup.
