The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 82267 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for aggressive material removal in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. It features a 3/8-inch cutting diameter with a 7/8-inch length of cut and a Tplus coating that improves heat resistance and wear life at the cutting edge. The variable index geometry reduces harmonic vibration during cuts, which extends tool life and improves surface finish in demanding milling operations. This end mill is single-end, center-cutting, and intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill fits common milling applications involving ferrous materials, including carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. The 35-degree helix angle and right-hand flute direction suit conventional and climb milling passes in roughing and semi-finishing operations. It is well suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and pocket work where a straight shank 3/8-inch tool is appropriate. The 3-inch overall length provides reach suitable for standard workholding setups without sacrificing rigidity.
Designed for use in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron applications. Part of the Helical Solutions End Mills for Stainless and High Temp 4 Flute Square Variable Pitch series. Accepts standard 3/8-inch straight shank toolholders including ER collets, milling chucks, and shrink-fit holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC or manual milling setup procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify runout at the toolholder before commencing cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material and cut depth.
