The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 82074 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in superalloys and titanium. It features a 1/2-inch mill diameter, a 2-inch length of cut, and a 0.0100-inch corner radius. The 6-flute, single-end design with variable pitch delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single tool. APLUS PVD coating provides thermal and wear resistance required for demanding aerospace and industrial alloy work. Overall length is 4 inches with a 1/2-inch straight cylindrical shank. This tool is part of the HVTI-6 series, purpose-built for titanium and titanium alloy applications.
The 82074 is designed for machining superalloys and titanium, including titanium alloys, in high-precision CNC milling operations. Its right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting geometry suit vertical and horizontal machining centers. The long-reach, centercutting configuration allows plunge entry and side milling in tight pockets and contoured surfaces. High-precision toolholders are recommended to maintain runout within the 0.0005-inch maximum TIR specification. This tool is suited for production environments where tool life and surface finish in difficult-to-machine materials are critical performance factors.
