The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 81312 is a 2-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling of aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Built on a 45-degree helix angle geometry, this tool promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action in softer, gummy materials where chip packing is a common problem. The Zplus ZrN coating reduces built-up edge and extends tool life in aluminum applications. With a 3/16-inch diameter and a 1-inch length of cut, this end mill suits slotting, profiling, and pocket milling operations where a small-diameter, long-reach tool is required. Installation is handled by machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms.
This end mill is optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials, making it a direct choice for aerospace components, automotive parts, and general aluminum fabrication. The single-end, straight-shank configuration fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders sized for 3/16-inch shanks. The 45-degree right-hand helical flutes and center-cutting capability allow plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling passes. Overall length of 2.5 inches provides sufficient tool stick-out clearance for most light-duty vertical and horizontal machining center setups.
Designed for use in aluminum and non-ferrous machining applications. Compatible with standard 3/16-inch collet chucks and end mill holders. Intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped for right-hand rotation.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Ensure the collet or tool holder is clean and within the manufacturer-specified runout tolerance before tightening. Follow the machine tool builder guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting cutting parameters for the workpiece material.
